Answers to Your Most Common Questions, Simplified

FAQ: Clarity and Confidence at Your Fingertips

Are your houses really handcrafted?

Yes, every HyggeHut is fully handcrafted. Each log is carefully selected and shaped by skilled builders, preserving the natural uniqueness of the wood. No two houses are exactly alike — your home is truly one of a kind.

Do you deliver internationally?

Yes, we can arrange international delivery. Please contact us with your location, and we’ll provide options and cost estimates.

Do I need a building permit for this house?

That depends on your local regulations. We recommend checking with your local municipality to find out whether a permit is required for your property. We offer a full set of documentation which will make the process simple, including 3D models of our products.

How is the house delivered?

The house is delivered as one fully assembled unit by truck. It arrives ready to use — all you need to do is connect electricity, water, and sewer. On-site installation is quick and simple. For unloading, a crane with a lifting capacity of at least 15 tons is required to safely place the house on the prepared foundation.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery time depends on your location and our current production schedule. Since each HyggeHut is handcrafted with care — not mass-produced — building your house takes time and attention to detail. The typical delivery timeframe is approximately 8 to 12 weeks from the moment your order is confirmed. We will provide a more precise estimate when your order is placed.

What kind of foundation do I need?

We recommend a stable base, such as concrete blocks or a post foundation. We will provide guidance during the planning phase to ensure proper setup.

What preparations need to be made before the house arrives?

Before your HyggeHut is delivered, please ensure the following preparations are completed:

  • The site is easily accessible by a large truck
  • The foundation is prepared and level (post foundation or concrete blocks)
  • Water, sewer, and electricity connections are ready to be hooked up
  • A crane with a minimum 15-ton lifting capacity is on-site at the time of delivery

Proper planning ensures that unloading and installation go smoothly and safely.

What does the house include?

Each HyggeHut comes with a fully equipped bathroom and kitchen, built-in sleeping area, electrical system with lighting and sockets, and electric floor heating. The house is ready for living upon delivery.

Is the house suitable for year-round use?

Yes. Our houses are well insulated with PIR in the floor and mineral wool in the roof. Logs provide excellent natural insulation, so your home stays warm in winter and cool in summer.

Can I customize the house?

Yes. Because our houses are handmade, we can accommodate custom requests — such as exterior color or roof type — during the design phase. Let us know what you have in mind.

What utility connections are required?

You will need to have water, sewer, and electricity connections ready at your site before the house arrives. We’ll provide technical guidance ahead of time.

How long will the house last?

With proper care, a handcrafted log house can last for generations. Log structures are durable, flexible, and easy to maintain over time.
